John B. Cooper, CFA®

A co-founder of Stuyvesant Capital Management Corp. John has developed several proprietary investment indicators including our Cyclical Bond, Bond Valuation and Earnings Discount Models.  Prior to establishing Stuyvesant, John was vice president and senior analyst at Loeb Rhoades Hornblower & Co.  He received his BA in economics with honors from Marietta College and his MBA in finance from Columbia University.  John is a Chartered Financial Analyst and member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of New York.

Jason A. Cooper, CFA®

Portfolio Manager, Research Analyst

Jason is responsible for investment research on the firm's core holdings and assists in portfolio management. He passed the three CFA examinations in a three year period and is currently a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of New York.  He is also a member of The ANALYST,  the oldest securities analysis club in the United States, which was co-founded by Benjamin Graham, the father of securities analysis. Its members meet on a monthly basis to discuss investment themes / ideas.  Jason joined Stuyvesant after graduating Cum Laude from Cornell University, where he completed both pre-med requirements and earned a BS in Animal Science.

Pete Daly

Managing Director, Portfolio Manager

Pete Daly began his investment career at Loeb Rhodes Hornblower in New York City. Stuyvesant was the private investment division of the brokerage firm at that time. After leaving Loeb Rhodes, Pete relocated to Charlotte, NC and worked as an account executive at Interstate Securities, where he served as a closed end fund analyst. He also worked for Bank of America and most recently Hilliard Lyons. Pete has developed a trend-identification service (StuyvesanTrends) which forms the basis for a tactical asset allocation investment process using exchange traded funds.


George Fulop, M.D.


Dr. George Fulop is a Director at Stuyvesant Capital Management Corporation. Prior to joining Stuyvesant, he was a Senior Biotechnology and Life Sciences Equity Analyst at Needham & Company from 2004 to 2007. Dr. Fulop's coverage included fifteen small and mid-cap companies in the specialty pharmaceutical, infectious diseases and central nervous system space.
Prior to joining Needham, Dr. Fulop was a Senior Director, Medical Policy and Programs, at Merck-Medco Managed Care, and was responsible for disease management, eHealth, and business development initiatives.
Dr. Fulop completed medical training in General Preventative Medicine, and Psychiatry/Neurology. He received his A.B. degree from Columbia University, an M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and a Master of Science Community Medicine (MPH equivalent) from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine.


Kathy McLoughlin

Secretary Treasurer, Office Manager

Kathy has worked in the financial industry for more than 20 years.  Prior to her joining Stuyvesant Capital Management in 2000, she worked for the firm of Ingalls & Snyder, LLC.  Kathy successfully runs all facets of the daily operations of the firm, and acts as assistant Chief Compliance Officer.  She maintains the firm’s disaster recovery plan.  Kathy has an associate degree in Business Administration from The Wood School. 

Bety Nivicela

Administrative Assistant

Bety joined the Stuyvesant Team in September, 2012. She attended The College of Westchester and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Bety assists with all administrative duties, including reconciliation of accounts and electronic filing.
